December Newsletter 2016

Unbelievably yet another year has passed in a flash, so it’s again time for Mane street’s annual newsletter.

We have had another busy year and I would like to begin by thanking my wonderful staff. For me to be able to juggle the salon and my children I really do rely on their loyalty, dedication and hard work, not to mention their impeccable hairdressing talents!! I really couldn’t do it without them and feel very fortunate to have such a great team beside me!.

On the subject of staff, I am pleased to announce that Abbie has now successfully completed her NVQ level 3 in hairdressing and is already running a busy column as our graduate stylist…well done Abbie.

Hayley who previously worked as our salon assistant is now returning to the salon part time as our new junior stylist, were all looking forward to working with her again. Our Saturday girl Sophie is now a full time member of our team doing her NVQ 2 in hairdressing.

This year welcomed  a salon wedding , Jane and Simon tied the knot in June, it was a brilliant day enjoyed by everyone. Jane would also like to thank all of her clients for their very generous gifts, cards and warm wishes. Thank you x x

We have had a lovely new website designed which we hope to go live soon, please have a look at On the subject of technology, for all our Facebook users please visit and ‘like’ our page (Manestreet Ferndown ) for great offers and free giveaways . If you could share our page and invite friends to ‘like’ us as well that would be brilliant, as a small business online advertising is now days vital.

This year I will also be introducing a suggestion box in reception, this is for you to leave us your constructive comments regarding your visit, anonymous if you wish.  Good comments are very welcome as are any improvements or concerns you may have, i welcome all feedback as I feel it is the best way for us to bring you the best possible service.

Nails are making a comeback to the salon at the start of December,  Abbie is undergoing training to be able to offer gel 2 manicures, this is a hard gel polish much like Shellac, that doesn’t chip easily and should last two to three weeks. The colour range is fantastic, so we will be stocking up on lots of sparkly colours for Christmas, we will be charging £20 for a manicure and polish but if you mention the newsletter when booking or paying we will give you a 10% discount on your first nail appointment.

Other exciting recent additions to the salon are, Moroccan oil and Olaplex. I’m sure lots of you have been introduced already to these wonder products, for those who haven’t Olaplex is a revolutionary product that actually repairs the bonds of your hair, strengthening even the most damaged and over processed hair, it is a product added to colour and bleach, as well as a take home treatment and salon service, it really is the most amazing product with great results.

Moroccan oil is the original argon oil, packed full of goodness it enhances manageability and shine, along with long term conditioning it leaves the hair super silky but not greasy. Please ask your stylist for more details and see our Facebook page for offers before Christmas.

With Christmas approaching we have some lovely gift packs/boxes and offers on for the perfect Christmas gift, remember we also do gift vouchers in £5, £10 and £20 always a nice gift.

A polite reminder for all our customers who take advantage of our senior citizen price list, this price list is only for Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays with selected stylists and bookings for Fridays and Saturdays must  be charged at full price unless  specified by management. We will be continuing with our loyalty scheme and student discount (NUS card required). We are holding off any price increase until later on in the year, and of course we will always endeavor to bring you the best possible service at the best possible price.

Lastly I’d like to thank all our wonderful clients for another year of custom and loyalty, we really do value you all.

Sending best wishes for the festive season and New Year.
